Catfish Gear Up for Upcoming Promotions
July 18, 2005 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Columbus Catfish News Release
Columbus, GA - On Tuesday, July 19th, beginning at 7:00pm, the Catfish will welcome the premier traveling act Blues Brothers to Columbus. Jake and Elwood have been touring stadiums all over the world since 1984. The two brothers will be performing their classic rhythm and blues standards throughout the game and entertaining fans with their pranks and crazy antics in the stands.
On Wednesday, July 20th, the Catfish will be giving the first 500 fans who enter the gates a limited edition Chuck Tiffany bobblehead doll courtesy of Aflac. Tiffany, who pitched for the Catfish last season, threw a no-hitter and the first perfect game in Columbus Professional Baseball history. This is the first of three bobblehead giveaways this year at Golden Park. The game begins at 7:00pm and gates will open at 6:00pm. The Catfish urge fans to get to the park early, as bobbleheads will go fast.
